Redistribution quota – New South Wales federal redistribution

In accordance with section 65 of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918, on 11 August 2023 the Electoral Commissioner determined the redistribution quota for the purposes of the redistribution of New South Wales to be 121,011.

The determination of the redistribution quota for the redistribution of New South Wales was based on enrolment numbers as at Wednesday 9 August 2023, which is the date the redistribution commenced.

The quota was calculated by dividing the number of electors on the electoral roll in New South Wales on the day the redistribution commenced by the number of members to which New South Wales is entitled.
