Updated: 26 February 2024

Dunkley residents planning to vote by post for the 2 March 2024 by-election are being urged by the Australian Electoral Commission to act now.

AEC State Manager for Victoria, Nye Coffey said people who need to apply for a postal ballot are running out of time.

“The message is clear – if you need a postal ballot act now,” Mr Coffey said.

“The deadline for applications is 6pm AEDT on Wednesday 28 February, which is quite close to by-election day.

“The earlier you apply, the better chance we have of getting a ballot paper to you in time.”
