The 2020-21 annual financial disclosure returns for members of the House of Representatives and Senators are now available for public inspection.
This is a new disclosure requirement following the passage of the Electoral Legislation Amendment (Annual Disclosure Equality) Act 2021 in December. Information about the new disclosure requirement is available on the AEC website.
The annual returns are available on the AEC’s website at www.aec.gov.au/Parties_and_Representatives/financial_disclosure/transparency-register/.

- Members of the House of Representatives and Senators who do not receive any gifts during the financial year that were made for federal purposes do not need to provide a return.
- The disclosure threshold for 2020–21 financial year returns was $14,300. The threshold is indexed on 1 July each year.
- The disclosure period covers 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021.
