The FAD Reform Program hosts monthly engagement sessions to help you prepare for 1 January 2027.
Sessions are delivered virtually on Microsoft Teams. Register your interest to receive invitations to all future sessions. You can attend any session that interests you and ask questions directly of the AEC.

This video demonstrates how the new Disclosure portal will work. The new portal reflects the changes to electoral funding and disclosure laws that come into effect soon.

This video demonstrates bulk uploads of donation disclosures using the CSV templates (see below). A CSV user guide (see below) will help you with the process.

Video 3: Electoral and administrative expenditure
This session explains what is and isn’t electoral expenditure, including the concepts of dominant purpose, electoral matter, administrative costs, and key inclusions and exclusions. It also outlines responsibilities of political entities, candidates and third parties, along with guidance on managing mixed-purpose spending, apportionment and record-keeping for compliance.
Engagement sessions are held on the fourth Thursday of each month and will continue until after the reforms go live in January 2027. Watch this space as dates for future sessions and topics will continue to be added as they are finalised.
