Leichhardt covers an area of approximately 150 366 sq km from the Torres Strait Islands in the north to Cairns and Edmonton in the south. The main towns include Bamaga, Cairns, Cooktown, Kuranda, Mossman, Port Douglas, Thursday Island and Weipa.
